Rooted in Taoist tradition and passed down from the Wudang lineage since the Northern Song Dynasty, Baduanjin is a gentle yet powerful form of moving meditation practiced for over 800 years. This session introduces its eight flowing postures that harmonize movement and stillness, awakening the body’s natural vitality.
Each form, such as “Supporting Heaven with Both Hands” to circulate qi and “Opening the Bow” to strengthen lung energy – guides the breath, stretches the body, and regulates internal organs. Through deliberate and graceful movements, Baduanjin helps to unblock stagnation, balance Yin and Yang, and support emotional clarity.
More than a physical exercise, Baduanjin is a holistic practice that integrates Eastern wisdom with modern science – accessible to all, regardless of age or experience. It embodies the Living Habits of Breathing, Movement, and Stillness, offering participants a space to restore internal harmony and reconnect with a deeper sense of self.
