Bernise Ang
Chief Alchemist, Zeroth Labs
Bernise Ang is Chief Alchemist at Zeroth Labs, leading research in applied complexity science. She has supported multilateral, civil society and government institutions, in Singapore and internationally, on applying systems approaches and strategic foresight to policy challenges. She led UNDP Asia Pacific’s first systems thinking initiative, advising the Bhutanese government on youth unemployment. Her research interests include the application of network science to stability and urban dynamics. She has also developed programmes on systems thinking and complexity science for NUS Medicine and other parts of the university.
Bernise has spoken on urban innovation and complex systems at Harvard Business School, SXSW, and the World Economic Forum. Her career has also spanned private equity investment and co-founding Syinc, a youth nonprofit in Singapore. She is an Obama Scholar, Fellow at NUS, and Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
