Jackie Surtani
Regional Director, Asian Development Bank, Singapore Office
Jackie Surtani is Regional Director and Head of the Singapore Office at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where he leads collaboration with the Government of Singapore and the financial sector, focusing on climate-related private and public sector projects across the region.
Previously, Mr. Surtani served as Director of Infrastructure Finance at ADB’s Private Sector Operations Department, covering East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. He led landmark projects in broadband satellites, renewable energy in Indonesia, and cross-border power in Lao PDR and Vietnam, as well as electric transport investments.
Before rejoining ADB in 2017, Jackie was Regional Chief Risk Officer at Siemens Financial Services, and earlier held senior project finance roles at Chase Manhattan Bank, Credit Suisse, and KBC Bank, where he built and led the Asian Project Finance business for 14 years.
With over 33 years of experience in infrastructure lending, Jackie holds a BSc in Business Finance and Economics (First-Class Honours) from the University of East Anglia and an MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Oxford.
