Victor Chng
Yin Yoga Asia
Victor Chng began his yoga journey in the late 1990s, turning to the practice as a way to manage the stresses of corporate life. Drawn to its deeper philosophical roots, he trained under SVYASA in Singapore in 2002 and later sought out senior disciples of T. Krishnamacharya in India, including TKV Desikachar, A.G. Mohan, and Srivatsa Ramaswami. A Mahayana Buddhist, Victor’s teachings are grounded in spiritual inquiry and integrative healing.
In 2004, he encountered Paul Grilley and was introduced to Yin Yoga, which merged anatomical insight with meditative stillness. Victor became the first Yin Yoga teacher to develop and conduct trainings across Asia. Since 2005, he has evolved his own system, integrating Daoist philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Buddhist principles to deepen the internal dimension of practice.
Today, Victor’s Yin Yoga is a synthesis of movement, stillness, and energetic flow—blending Qigong and breathwork to awaken the subtle body. At IMPACT Week, he will guide participants into the quiet intelligence of the body and the transformative power of inner presence.
